Professional Background
I have worked as a psychologist for over 25 years across both clinical and organisational settings. This experience has provided extensive exposure to the ways personality, stress, relationships, self-expectations and emotional patterns can influence psychological wellbeing and functioning over time.
In addition to clinical work, I have extensive experience working with individuals experiencing workplace stress, burnout, interpersonal conflict, performance pressure, and difficulties balancing professional responsibilities with emotional wellbeing.
Therapeutic Style
Therapy is thoughtful, collaborative and formulation-driven. Rather than focusing only on symptom reduction, I work with clients to better understand the underlying patterns maintaining distress and the ways these patterns may continue to influence relationships, work, self-esteem and emotional functioning.
Many clients I work with are insightful and capable people who nevertheless find themselves caught in recurring cycles of overthinking, self-criticism, emotional pressure, avoidance or relational difficulties.
I aim to provide a therapeutic environment that feels calm, respectful and psychologically containing, where difficulties can be explored thoughtfully and at an appropriate pace.
